YetiConnect registers as a HubSpot calling provider, so when you click the call icon on a contact record you place the call through YetiConnect without leaving HubSpot. The call writes back to the contact's Activities timeline as a "YetiConnect OUTBOUND Call" engagement with an AI summary and a recording you can play back.
This guide covers the one-time setup, how to place and run a call, how to disposition it, and where the call appears in HubSpot afterward.
First-time setup
Before you can call from inside HubSpot, three things need to be true. Take them in order:
Switch your calling provider to YetiConnect. Open any contact record in HubSpot and click the phone icon in the left-column action bar. If HubSpot shows its native call panel instead of the YetiConnect Dialer, click Change provider and pick YetiConnect Dialer from the list. HubSpot remembers this choice for your user.
Sign in to the YetiConnect Dialer popup. HubSpot opens the Dialer as a separate popup window that stays alive in the background for your session. The first time it opens, sign in with your YetiConnect credentials (the same login you use at app.yeticonnect.com). After that the Dialer stays signed in until you click Log out.
Expect a short delay on the first call. The first call of a session takes an extra second or two while the connection initializes. Subsequent calls connect right away.
Tip: use a normal Chrome window, not Incognito. The provider choice and the Dialer sign-in don't persist between Incognito tabs, and you'll have to repeat the setup every time.
Step 1: Place a call
With YetiConnect set as your provider, open any contact record and click the phone icon. The YetiConnect Dialer popup comes to focus with the contact's phone number ready to dial.
At the top of the Dialer, the line selector shows the phone number you're calling from (for example, Yeti 509 - +1 (509) 792-3116). If you have multiple lines on your account, click the line selector to switch between them.
Click the green Call handset to start the call.
Step 2: Use the call control bar
Once the call connects, the call controls activate. From left to right:
Mute – mutes your microphone.
Hold – puts the contact on hold. Click again to take them off hold.
Record – toggles call recording on the active call.
Keypad – opens the DTMF keypad for navigating phone menus.
Add / Transfer – adds another participant to the call or transfers it to another number.
Click the red handset to end the call.
Step 3: Disposition the call
When the call ends, the Dialer shows a disposition panel so you can tag what happened and add notes.
Call Outcome – pick from Busy, Connected, Left live message, Left voicemail, No answer, or Wrong number.
Notes – free-text notes that ride along with the call when it logs to HubSpot.
Save – logs the outcome and notes to the contact's Activities timeline.
Skip – logs the call with the default outcome and no notes.
Click Save when you're done. The Dialer is ready for the next call.
Step 4: Find the call afterward in HubSpot
Every call you place through the YetiConnect Dialer writes back to the contact's HubSpot record as a Call engagement. To find it, open the contact and click the Activities tab.
Each call entry shows:
Call header – who made the call, the contact called, the call direction (Outbound), the duration, and the outcome you saved.
AI summary – an auto-generated Summary, Key notes, and Topics discussed, with thumbs up/down feedback and an Ask a question Breeze prompt.
Recording – click Review recording to play back the call audio in the inline player. You can scrub, download, or open the recording in a new tab.
Editable notes – the notes you saved in the disposition panel, editable in place.
The full searchable call log lives in YetiConnect at Call History, where you can filter by date, agent, outcome, or contact across every call on your account.
