YetiConnect's Messenger is embedded directly inside HubSpot so you can send SMS and MMS to a contact without leaving the contact record. This guide walks through opening the Messenger, sending a message, and finding earlier conversations.
If you'd rather work in the standalone web app, you can also use the Messenger at https://app.yeticonnect.com/messenger. The embedded HubSpot version mirrors the same conversation list and composer.
First-time setup
The YetiConnect embed has its own login, separate from your HubSpot login. The first time you open the Messenger inside HubSpot, you'll be prompted to sign in with the same email and password you use at app.yeticonnect.com. After that, the embed stays signed in as long as you don't click Log out in the modal header.
Tip: use a normal Chrome window, not Incognito. The embed session won't persist between Incognito tabs and you'll be asked to sign in every time.
Step 1: Open the YetiConnect tab on a contact record
Open any contact record in HubSpot. In the middle-column tab bar (the row that holds Catch-up, Overview, Activities, and so on), click the YetiConnect tab. It sits as the second tab, between Catch-up and Overview.
The YetiConnect tab shows a single card titled YetiConnect Messaging, with the subtitle SMS/MMS Messaging and a brief description: View conversation history and send messages to this contact.
Step 2: Launch the Messenger modal
On the YetiConnect Messaging card, click Open Messenger. The Messenger opens as a full-screen modal over the contact record.
The modal has three areas:
Conversation list – on the left, all of your conversations with a search box at the top. If the contact you opened already has a conversation, the modal preselects it.
Message thread – on the right, the open conversation with date-separated message bubbles. Outbound messages are right-aligned with a delivery status underneath (for example, Delivered).
Composer – at the bottom of the thread, with the placeholder Send your message...
Step 3: Send a message
Click into the composer at the bottom of the thread and type your message. As soon as you start typing, the Send button (the paper-plane icon on the right of the composer toolbar) turns active and a character counter appears.
The composer toolbar also includes icons for:
Schedule (clock) – send the message at a future time.
Templates (bookmark) – insert a saved message template.
Emoji – open the emoji picker.
Attach (paperclip) – attach an image or file to send as MMS.
Send (paper-plane) – send the message right now.
Click Send. The new message appears as the latest bubble in the thread with a Delivered status (or an error status if delivery fails).
Messages you send from inside HubSpot are tagged "Reply from within HubSpot" in the thread, so your teammates can see where the reply came from.
Step 4: Find earlier conversations
The conversation list on the left shows every conversation on your account, not just the current contact's. To find a specific one:
Use the Search conversations... box at the top of the list to filter by contact name or phone number.
Click any row to load that thread on the right. Each row shows the contact name, a relative timestamp, the phone line the conversation is on (for example, Yeti 509), a short message preview, and a small badge marking whether the conversation is yours (Mine), shared with a teammate, or Closed.
Inside an open thread, scroll to the top and click Load More to load older messages.
When you're done, close the modal with the X in the top-right corner. The next time you open Messenger from any contact record, the conversation list and your signed-in session are still there.
