Leave a note for your team inside a conversation. The contact never sees it.

Before you start

  • You don't need a texting seat to add a note. You need a role that can send messages (owner, admin or member).

Steps

Add a note

  1. Open the conversation.

  2. At the bottom, click the Note tab. The box says "Add an internal note...".

  3. Type your note.

  4. Click the send button, or press Cmd + Enter (Mac) or Ctrl + Enter (Windows).

Edit your note

  1. Point at your note and click the pencil button (Edit note).

  2. Change the words and click Save note. Click Cancel to keep it as it was.

Delete a note

  1. Point at the note and click the trash button (Delete note).

  2. Click Delete to confirm. This can't be undone.

What happens next

  • The note shows in the conversation with your name, so your team can read it.

  • Notes are never texted to the contact.

  • Adding a note assigns the conversation to you, the same as sending a text, even if a teammate had it. If it was resolved, it opens again.

Common questions

Who can edit a note?

Only the person who wrote it.

Who can delete a note?

The person who wrote it, or an admin or owner. Admins can delete anyone's note but can't change the words.

Can I add pictures or schedule a note?

No. The attach and schedule options are for texts only.

Can I add a note when the contact has opted out?

Yes. Notes are not texts, so opt-outs don't stop them.
